Construction of a new tennis center at Laurel Park in Conway is expected to start soon after the Conway City Council approved a bid from Corco Construction earlier this week.
The city appropriated $2.5 million from the Parks Department Advertising and Promotion (A&P) Fund for construction of the project.
“It’s going to be great for Conway,” Architect Rik Sowell, who designed the facility, said.
The tennis center includes features for players and spectators.
